Mammy and Buppy Christmas

After we finished at home, we got ready and headed to Mammy and Buppy's house.  My favorite part of Christmas is being with this entire crew!  I love every second.  I always feel safe and like life is ok when we are all together.  We zipped in and decided to let the kids play a bit.  Mom was working on lunch and she took a break so we could go open presents.  As always, they did way too much for the big kids (me, John, Leslie and Moose), but oh how we appreciate it!  Our kiddos didn't come out very shabby here either!  Good gracious from start to finish they were loved all around!  (remember round 1 at Nana's, then Daddy-buds, then Santa, then us, now Mammy and Buppy!)  It makes me tired just to think about it!
I love seeing Olivia and Annelyn become closer friends.  Olivia looks up to her so much!  They played all day together from shopkins to AG dolls to spy girls.  They had a blast together.  The little ones did well to unless they had to share!  As I am looking through pictures I realized I didn't get a single picture of my two on Christmas day in their cute outfits.  I also didn't get a single picture of the 4 of us or of just me and John.  He was at the start of a 3 day migraine and had a rough day on Christmas.  He seemed ok until lunch.  Poor guy!

Easton loves these blocks!

Prior to opening, "It's heavy!  Must be a skillet!"

Mammy got a.....grate?!  Yep!  Buppy has been doing some house updates so he gifted her with some.

Buppy likes to try to figure out presents (I have the same sickness) and it really irritates mom and Leslie.  We have always had fun together!

She doesn't quite have it opened yet, but she has asked mom for this piece of AG since her birthday in June!  She has played with it everyday since Christmas!

We couldn't take Peppa out of the box because she didn't want to share!  Hilarious.

Now for her big present.....

another box!

Nope, a completely unexpected ipad air2!  Way to go Buppy!!!

We went and ate a great lunch and then did stockings.  After we finished, I was holding Oscar and decided he was just looking like how we all felt! His head is propped up on the table with stuff all around him and he is sound asleep!

If you can't beam em' join em'......that's just what I did.  I went to the den, covered up and snoozed.  John was upstairs in the bonus room resting with Easton, the girls were playing, Buppy was watching a hilarious show (I watched until I fell asleep) and mom, Leslie and Moose played scrabble.  I can't think of a better way to spend the afternoon.  We all relaxed and did what we wanted, together.  Can't beat family time.  Once we all were finished, it was dinner time.  None of us were starving, but we picked and let the kids get what they wanted as well.  We enjoyed a bit more time and then headed home to get our little ones to bed.  It might have been the best Christmas ever in my book!

Santa Came!

Are my kids the ONLY 2 who have to be woken up to go see what Santa brought?!  I mean my sister and I use to stay up pacing.  At about 3 or 4 we would try to sleep, but we were so excited!  I hope my kids feel all the magic of Christmas as they get older and I also hope they make memories together like my sister and I did as kids.

Ready to DIVE in and can hardly wait another minute!

Ready to go eat or go back to bed!

Oscar says to move over guys!!!

Why does she look so grown up here?!

Excited now!!

On the hunt for his next one.

Oscar knows the drill!  He can go under any Christmas tree and find his presents!

He loved his new Paw patrol shirt !

Look at my new loot guys!

Olivia got her daddy socks!  She thought it was so funny.

Easton got me a race car and coffee.  That's what he told John he wanted to give me, so I got a purple hot wheel and Starbucks GC.  Olivia gave me 2 necklaces and a bath and bodyworks GC.  That's one of her favorite places.  On one necklace she wrote a note saying to share with her.  Precious.  Unforgettable gifts from their little hearts.

What do you mean that's it??

Oh, you mean no more for me.  Look at that pitiful face!

I think he likes what his sister got him!

Pure excitement!

Apparently before someone went to get their bath, they played with some of her new stuff.  Love the surprises on the camera!

Goodbye Skippy!  See you next year!

What a great morning!  Off to Mammy and Buppy's to enjoy more family time, lunch and presents!!

Christmas Eve

I used to think Christmas Eve drug on and on as a kid.  It was a never ending day.  Now I know why mom has always said it is her favorite day of the season.  I soaked it in (until 11:15 and I was grumpy and wanted to go to bed!) and enjoyed all of it!  We had a great day.  We woke up to Skippy hanging around one last time!

We didn't have to be anywhere until dinner so I went for a run on a gorgeous day in shorts and a tshirt.  We still had some crafts to finish up, so we worked on those and put them out in the sun!  The kids made handprint mittens this year for the grandparents.  I thought they turned out really cute.  What's a craft without glitter?!  I had to make 5 batches of this dough.  I didn't do salt dough because I saw a recipe for "better than salt dough."  Yep, I fell for it.  I hope they are still in one piece next year.  I sprayed them with several coats of modge podge so hopefully that will help.

It was crazy warm (78 degrees when it is normally 40).  I came home and we went to the pet store for Oscar to do some shopping and then to Lowes just because we could.

We played outside and wrapped some presents.  Olivia took a lot of pride in wrapping her daddy's gifts and her brother's.  We headed over to mom's for dinner, cookie baking and a few presents to finish out the night.

Yep, that new bottle of sprinkles he is holding ended up on the floor.  Easton got a wee bit carried away.  I think he did better decorating last year.

Mom read a story to them, but these two goons were too busy arguing over who could sit next to Mammy.  We tried to get one on the other side, but they were not having that.

They got Christmas pj's, but I don't think anyone got a successful picture of that.  It was late so we gathered up to head home for Santa to come.  Before we could go to bed, we got to give Skippy hugs and love.  He lifts his magic for us to do this on Christmas Eve!

Back up little brother, I need some time with Skippy!

Giving Skippy love, but no tears this year!  We know he will come back.

Throwing out our reindeer food!

I didn't know they had snuck upstairs to take pics with Skippy until I downloaded my memory card!  Too cute!

Ready and waiting for the big guy to come!

Merry Christmas Eve!  Happy early Birthday to Baby Jesus!
